Cambodia is agricultural country, 85% of the total population are farmers who mainly producing rice and many kinds of agriculture products such as rice, green mung bean, corn, soy bean, cassava, rubber, spices, fruits, aquatics and others are produced on fertile land six million ht. The current yield of paddy is approx. 8 million tones every year. Most of the paddy (3-4 millions tons) and agriculture yields are surplus and exported to Vietnam and Thailand. Cambodia has many types of rice while the most needed for export is fragrant rice (Phkar Malis), long grain white rice and Medium white rice Phkar Khnei or Ginger rice, and Neang Minh.
