Products Description
Black silicon carbide is produced at high temperature in an electric resistant furnace with quartz sand and petroleum coke as its main raw materials. Its hardness is between corundum and synthetic diamond, the mechanical strength is higher than corundum.
Application
1. Black silicon carbide is widely used for making abrasive tools, including grinding wheel, sanding belt, oilstone etc. It's also used for grinding and polishing in monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon and electronics industries etc.
2. It's suitable for processing glass, ceramics, stone, metal, rubber and other materials.
3. It also can be used as metallurgical additive and high-grade refractory material
