The increasing uses of modern power electronic apparatus are producing non-liner current influences and load the network with harmonics pollution. The capacitor forms a resonant with the feeding transformer by a self-resonant frequency between 250Hz to 500Hz, it leads to the following undesirable problems: overloading of capacitor and transformer; interference with metering and control device, computer and electric gear system; voltage distortion; amplification harmonics.
