Flue Cured Virginia or FCV (Unprocessed)
Heat is introduced into a barn by pipes from an outside furnace.
This heat allows the leaves to turn yellow/orange, they contain a high amount of sugar.
Flue-cured is also known as "Bright" and "Virginia" by the world tobacco trade.
Flue-Curing (40% of world tobacco production)
Air-Curing burley leaf (11% of world tobacco production)
Burley leaf:
Burley tobacco leaf is an air-cured leaf, air cured helps the unprocessed tobacco turn brown.
