CONDITIONS OF USE
General
Antiparasite, tick development inhibitor, insecticide, insect/acarine development inhibitor. Use in cattle is for the control of Boophilus microplus. The principle mode of action of fluazuron on the cattle-tick is by inhibition of chitin incorporation into tick cuticle. The inhibition is presumably against enzymes involved in the final stages of chitin synthesis
Dosage
The product is applied in two bands on each side of the spine between the shoulders and the rump by means of an applicator at the dose levels of 1.5 and 2.5 mg/kg b.w. In most situations the control can be achieved with a single treatment per season.
