An amorphous polymer produced by co-polymerization of olefin under a special catalyst, is well-known as good asphalt modifier, polymer modifier, and a component of hot melt adhesive and sealing materials.

QIDA APAO products show the following features which allow a diverse range of application:

•Good heat resistance;
•Good low temperature flexibility;
•Waterproofing;
•Anti-oxidation and anti-ultraviolet;
•Good solubility in organic phase;
•Adhesiveness under certain condition.

QIDA®APAO Industry application:

Asphalt modification
APAO has good solubility with petroleum asphalt, and does not need adding additional solvent, which is cost-saving, eco-friendly and easy to operate. Good stability of APAO modified asphalt allows the products can be easily stocked and transported.
APAO shows excellent high temperature stability, low temperature flexibility, good waterproofing and anti-aging characteristics.
Thanks to its thermo- plasticity, APAO modified asphalt shows good features of anti-cracking. This feature is good for both road and waterproofing.
Self-tackiness is good for operation, so help to low down the cost.
Decreasing the operation temperature meets the requirement of environment protection and low- carbon economy.

•Application: Waterproofing rolling& coating material, APAO modified road bitumen.

Hot melt adhesive
APAO hot melt adhesive shows good adhesiveness to PP, PE, paper, wood, metal, non-woven cloth and other materials. It has good high & low -temperature resistance, and is a safe material with features like solvent free, harmless and odorless.
•Application: Shoes, bags, infant diapers, feminine sanitary products, food package, book binding, module carpets, paper carton boards, plywoods etc.

Sealing materials (sealing strip, gasket)
Adding APAO to sealing strip can improve the appearance and performance.
•Application: Sealing strip and gasket, butyl rubber sealant etc.

Masterbatch.
