Khet-Se Agriproduce (P) Ltd., a 50/50 joint venture company of Tata Chemicals Limited, part of the most respected TATA group of India and Total Produce Plc, one of Europeβs largest Fresh produce company, has been launched to create state-of-the-art distribution facilities for fresh fruit and vegetables across India, by leveraging the individual strengths of both partners. Khet-Se Agriproduce bridges the gap between producer and end consumer, which will significantly increase efficiencies, improve shelf-life and reduce product loss in the supply chain. It will help Indian farmers to improve their incomes and develop the skills needed to raise the quality of Indian farm produce by training them in Global GAP and Good Agricultural Practices. The produce grown by the farmers are procured and supplied in sorted and graded form to wholesalers, importers, retailers and hotel chains in India.
