Was established on September 29, 1945, as the Federal Station for Plant Breeding and Production. In 1961 a specialised research institution by the name of Maize Research Institute, Zemun Polje was established.
The main activities are:
Development of maize hybrids of high yielding potential and quality for different environments and growing conditions,
Basic research aimed at facilitating applied and developmental programmes within breeding, seed production and maize and soybean growing and utilisation,
Development of ZP maize cropping system for high and stable yields under diverse agroecological conditions,
Production of foundation and commercial seed of ZP maize hybrids,
Drying, processing, packing and storage of ZP maize hybrids seed.
More than 500 domesticly registered maize hybrids and close to 100 maize hybrids registered abroad. Nine maize hybrids registered at EU common catalogue.
We are regularly Selling: maize seeds, soybean seeds, human food, technological products.
We are regularly Buying: seeds couting products, fungicides. |
