These are Amazing Pulse Dye LASERS with Broadband or tunable LASER Outputs. The Dye is either Solid Dyes (in disc form), or Liquid Dyes, placed in a cuvette.
The LASER is Optically Pumped by a Pulse Mode, Q-Switched Frequency Doubled Nd: YAG, Nd: Glass, Nd: YVO4, or Ruby LASER, with Pump LASER Wavelength of 300-550 nm.
The advantages of the Solid Dye LASER are Obvious - No Mixing of Dyes, no Flammable Solvents, no carcenogens to be handling, etc. PLUS, these Dye LASERS have very High Efficiencies, such as 25 - 37% (Pump energy to Output energy)!
And, these Advanced LASERS are also very economical - Priced below $10,000 for the basic Unit, capable of either Inline or Angle pumped configurations.
